UNILORIN Pre-Degree Admission Requirements.

1.   Arts Education:

(i)      Applicant Must pass five subjects at credit level at not more than two sittings in SSCE/GCE organized by WEAC, NECO, NABTEB and should include mathematics, English Language and the subject of study.

(ii)      Two of the five subjects must be from Arts while the third may be from the Social Sciences.

Note:  There is NO Remedial programme in B.A.(Hons.) English

2.   Agriculture, Engineering and Technology, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Science Education and Environmental Sciences

Applicants must pass the following subjects at credit level;

English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at not more than two sittings in the SSCE/GCE organized by WAEC, NECO and NABTEB.

Specific Requirements for UNILORIN Remedial Programme.

Faculty of Agriculture will accept credit grade in Agricultural Science in lieu of credit grade in Biology.

Duration of UNILORIN Remedial Programme.

The programme is for duration of two semesters (one academic session)

The remedial programme is primarily opened to applicants from the catchment areas of the University of Ilorin, Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nassarawa, Niger Plateau, Sokoto and Zamfara States.

UNILORIN Remedial Programme General Conditions:

.  Candidates for Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Architecture and Computer Science Education must offer Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry at 2019 UTME.

ii.  Candidates who write the 2019/2020 JAMB/UTME with relevant subject combination to any programme in either Arts or Sciences and must obtain the minimum national cut-off score as approved by the Federal Government.

iii.  Applicants are to note that the programme is non-residential.

Venue of UNILORIN Remedial Programme .

The venue of the programme shall be at the School of Preliminary Studies, Fufu, Ilorin South Local Government Headquarters, Kwara State.

i.  Download a Local Government Confirmation Form which must be endorsed by the Chairman/Secretary of the local Government Areas.

CIVIL ENGINEERING   UTME candidates are required to obtain O’Level credits in Five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other subject.

OND Civil Engineering and Water Resources Engineering.

 

COMPUTER ENGINEERING   UTME candidates are required to obtain O’Level credits in Five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other subject.   DIRECT ENTRY:

Relevant Discipline include:

Computer Technology, Telecommunications or Communication Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Control Systems Engineering,

Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering Technology,

InstrUTMEntation Engineering, Biomedical Engineering.

 

ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING   UTME candidates are required to obtain O’Level credits in Five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other subject.   DIRECT ENTRY:

Relevant Discipline include:

Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering Technology,

Computer Technology, Telecommunications or Communication Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, InstrUTMEntation Engineering, Biomedical Engineering.

 

FOOD AND BIOPROCESS ENGINEERING   Five O’Level credits Passes to include  Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and English Language,   DIRECT ENTRY:

Relevant Discipline include:

In addition to O’Level and Post-UTME requirements, candidates with any of the following qualifications may be considered:

 

 

(i)   First Degree from Physical Sciences at Second Class level may be admitted into 200 Level.

 

(ii)  HND in relevant Engineering discipline, at Distinction or Upper Credits level from or College of Technology after NYSC may be upgraded to 300 Level only.

 

(iii)  First Degree Honours in Engineering discipline may be admitted into 300 Level of any other Engineering programme.

 

UTME:

MATERIALS AND METALLURGICAL ENGINEERING In addition to O’Level and Post-UTME requirements, candidates must have either of the following:

 

(i)   A’Level IJMB or approved equivalent Pass in Mathematics, (Pure or/and Applied), Physics, and Chemistry with a minimum of 8 points.

 

(ii)   OND (Upper Credit) in Relevant Discipline with at least one year post diploma experience.

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

 

  UTME candidates are required to obtain O’Level credits in Five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other subject.

Biomedical Engineering and Materials & Metallurgical Engineering.

WATER RESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING   UTME candidates are required to obtain O’Level credits in Five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other subject.   DIRECT ENTRY:

Relevant Disciplines include:

Civil Engineering, Building, Architecture, Water Resources, Agricultural Engineering.
